Remedial massage consists of a personalised treatment to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management from its root cause, not its symptoms. The qualified Remedial therapist will use a range of techniques from myofascial release, trigger point therapy to help with your concerns. Remedial is different from other massage treatments with an extensive knowledge of testings, active stretching, posture analysis and re-assessments to help with a range of issues from but not limited to:

  • Sciatica
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Carpel tunnel
  • Whip lash
  • Headaches/migraines
  • Tendinopathy
  • Musculoskeletal disfunctions

What to expect:

Once you enter into the room, your therapist will go through a consultation form with you to go through history and make sure there are no contraindications that could impede your health and wellbeing. From there, the therapist will take you through relevant ROM testings, gait, posture analysis, orthopaedic testings to understand the roots of your symptoms of pain. WARNING: Therapists are not doctors therefore cannot diagnose. We can find positive or negative testings of possible issues and help relive pain and refer to practitioners that can make a final diagnosis. The therapist will take you through the treatment based on the testings to include trigger points, myofascial release, taping and other techniques. After the session, the therapist will repeat the testings to find if any improvements.

Deep Tissue massage concentrates on the deeper layers of muscle tissue with the aim to release chronic patterns of tension in the body, through slow, deep strokes on contracted areas. This highly targeted treatment will aid in the release of your tension and stress with a choice of 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes of de-knotting refreshment.

This treatment consists of a range of deep tissue and remedial massage techniques, paying attention to areas of concern and tightness within a full body massage, an indulgent foot massage and a blissful Indian head massage.

What to expect:

Once completed the therapist will go through deep pressured sequences for a full body massage concentrating on areas of stress and tension. This treatment also includes hand, foot, stomach, face and head massage. If you do not want these areas massaged, you can discuss with your therapist in consultation and they will spend more time on back, neck and shoulders. Once the treatment is over, your therapist will exit the room for you to change and once ready they will re-enter.

Bit of a sports fanatic? This treatment is for you! Sports massage is a bit different from your normal deep tissue massage as it incorporates more isolated work on areas specific to your sport to help with injuries and prevent injuries from accruing. However, sports massage can be for anyone that does exercise from water aquatics to gentle walking.

Why do I need this massage? The sports therapist will help you condition your muscles before and even after a sporting event (includes after a training session in the gym or at home) to recover from the activity.
